What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

The information you provide in our contact form will be emailed to our staff at  We will retain your email as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry or address any questions or needs you may have.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Courses on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

We may use student data to analyze our website to enhance the design and user experience for our students.

Who we share your data with

Quality OSHA Training uses software plugins and APIs that may connect with third party companies to enable certain functions of our website.  This data is used to enhance the functionality of the website and is not used for marketing purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment (if the comment functionality is turned on for students to use), the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time.

  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
    • We do require verification before making a formal name change. This helps ensure the documents produced by our websites are accurate.

Our website does not retain your contact information.  We use Stripe payment system to process payments and you can choose to allow Stripe to retain your payment and contact information.  When you contact us via our contact form we will receive your email address, which will enable us to respond to your inquiry.

How we protect your data

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as transaction data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the web page address.

As a general policy, we do not collect or store any credit card data locally on our computer systems or in paper form.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

What third parties we receive data from

As noted above we use software plugins that enhance the user experience with Quality OSHA Training.  The software plugins are often created by third party vendors and may utilize their servers to enable the plugin functionality.  Public and Private organizations may also utilize our application programming interface (API) to communicate with our learning management system (LMS) to transfer their employee’s training data to their internal LMS.
